Herne Bay Cartoon Festival 2023

This year we celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Herne Bay Cartoon Festival. It is part of the legacy of the Marcel Duchamp in Herne Bay Festival held in 2013 and you can find out more about the artist’s stay in town by visiting our exhibition at The Seaside Museum, now open until September.

Our theme this year is Life’s A Beach. New cartoons will be on display at Beach Creative Gallery from 4 – 18 August. This year the festival is also joining with the Professional Cartoonists Organisation to draw attention to whales and dolphin captivity and the work of the WHO. insert link

We have an exhibition on this theme in the Rossetti Room at Beach Creative and are running workshops for all ages on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 August.

Our annual Cartooning Live event this year takes place on Sunday 6 August from 12 noon to 4pm with more events there all weekend.
